The apartment

A recently refurbished 2-bedroom duplex on the 3rd floor of the Skol A block — split over two levels, light and calm throughout.

Both bedrooms have two single beds that push together to make a super-king, so it runs as two doubles for couples and friends or four singles for a family with two kids. A sofa bed in the lounge sleeps the fifth guest.

One bathroom with a bath — rare across the building, and the kind of comfort you feel most at the end of a long beach day or a cold winter evening.

Open-plan kitchen with coffee machine, oven, microwave and fridge. Air conditioning and heating, super-fast fibre WiFi. Large west-facing terrace with afternoon sun, looking out over the pool and the tropical gardens.

Three pools set in the tropical gardens — a shallow kids' pool (40cm), a 140cm pool for playing, and a 2m pool for proper swimming. Sun loungers €3 per day.

The location

Avenida Arias Maldonado 16 — the heart of central Marbella, right on the Paseo Marítimo promenade.

Step out and you're on Fontanilla beach. Marbella Old Town is a 10-minute walk. Family-run tapas bars, chiringuitos and supermarkets all at your doorstep. No car needed — and the dog can do the promenade with you.

Mid-July is the Marbella sweet spot: sea at 22-24°C, sardine espeto season at peak, Virgen del Carmen boat procession on 16 July, and Starlite + Marbella Arena running all month.
