The apartment

A freshly refurbished duplex on the 2nd floor of the Skol building, 60 m² over two levels, with a west-facing terrace that catches the afternoon sun and looks over the tropical gardens toward the sea.

Upstairs, a super king bed and an en-suite bathroom with a walk-in shower. Downstairs, a double sofa bed in the lounge, plus its own cloakroom and WC, so nobody queues. It sleeps 4, and it works nicely for parents with a baby or young children: the high chair and cot are already in the apartment, and the kids' pool is a few steps from the door.

The open-plan kitchen has a coffee machine, oven, microwave and fridge, with a washing machine, iron, hairdryer and towels. Air conditioning for summer, central heating for winter, a smart TV, and super-fast fibre WiFi.

One practical note: the two levels are joined by an interior staircase, so little ones need a grown-up nearby. There is a lift in the building up to the apartment door.

Three pools in the tropical gardens — a shallow kids' pool (40cm), a 140cm pool for playing, and a 2m pool for proper swimming. Sun loungers €3 per day.

The location

Avenida Arias Maldonado 16, the heart of central Marbella, right on the promenade.

Step out and you're on Fontanilla beach. Marbella Old Town is a 10-minute walk, and Puerto Banús is 6 km away. Family-run tapas bars, cafés and supermarkets are all at your doorstep. No car needed.
