The apartment
A top-floor corner loft studio on the 9th floor of the Alhambra building β recently refurbished in light, calm tones, south-east-facing for sun from morning to evening. Queen-size bed in the open-plan space, double sofa bed in the lounge β sleeps 4. One bathroom with a walk-in shower, and here's the bit you wouldn't quite believe until you saw it: the bathroom has its own sea view.
Open-plan kitchen with dishwasher, blender, toaster, coffee machine, oven and microwave β properly set up for slow weeks and proper cooking. Air conditioning and heating, super-fast fibre WiFi. From the 9th floor corner, the sea fills the window line; with no apartment above you, the quiet is real and the view goes further than from any flat below.

The location
Calle Camilo JosΓ© Cela 6 β central Marbella, second line of the beach. 100 metres (about a 2-minute walk) to the Paseo MarΓtimo promenade and Fontanilla beach.
Step out and you're heading straight for Fontanilla beach and the seafront. Marbella Old Town is a 10-minute walk. Family-run tapas bars, chiringuitos and (handy if you cook) Mr Noodles right behind you on the same street. No car needed.
Mid-June into July is the Marbella sweet spot: sea at 21Β°C and warming, sardine espeto season at peak, San Juan night on Fontanilla beach on 23 June, and the Starlite festival open at the old marble quarry from 19 June.

Q: A sea view from the bathroom β really? A: Really. South-east-facing corner studio on the 9th floor means the sea is visible from the kitchen, the lounge, the bed and the shower. We've never come across another bathroom in Marbella with this view.
Q: Is it really 100m from the beach? A: Yes β about a 2-minute walk to the Paseo MarΓtimo and Fontanilla beach. You're on the second line, not literally on the beachfront, but the walk is short and quiet.
Q: Can we bring the dog? A: Yes β pets are welcome. Just add them to your booking.
